In a viral video, a man is seen using a rope to rescue the woman.
Nasreen, 29, from Pune, fell into a 100-foot deep gorge while taking selfies in Satara, Maharashtra. She was visiting Borne Ghat with her friends near Thoseghar waterfalls when the incident happened on Saturday evening, reported the Times of India.

In a viral video, a home guard is seen rescuing the terrified woman with a rope. At the end of the video, some mountaineers are shown helping pull her to safety. Journalist Atul Singh shared the video on X, writing, “A sensational video of the rescue of a woman who fell into the Borne Ghat of Unghar Road has surfaced.. While taking a selfie, the woman’s foot slipped and she fell into the ghat. She was rescued with a rope. The incident occurred on the evening of August 3.”

According to reports, the woman was taken to a nearby hospital and is stable now.

In June, a woman lost her life after her car fell into a 300-foot deep gorge while her friend was filming her. The incident took place near the Dutt Dham Temple hill.

In July, Aanvi Kamdar, 27, an influencer from Mumbai, tragically lost her life after falling into a 300-foot gorge near the popular Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon, Maharashtra’s Raigad district. Kamdar was on a trip to the waterfall with seven friends on July 16. The outing turned tragic around 10:30 am when she slipped into a deep crevice while recording a video.
