Ayodhya witnessed a momentous occasion as the first visuals of the gold-adorned Ram Lalla were unveiled after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The idol, adorned with intricate gold detailing, bears various religious symbols, including Om, Ganesh, Chakra, Sankh, Gada, Swastik, and Kamala Nayan.
The unveiling took place on January 19, showcasing the culmination of a series of elaborate rituals that began on January 16. The consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram Temple involved a ritual bath for the idol using “medicated water and holy water” from 114 kalash (urns) sourced from pilgrimage sites across the country. This sacred ceremony, which included worship and havan, extended late into the evening.
A Spiritual Journey Across the Saryu River:
The rituals commenced on January 16, starting with ceremonies at the Saryu River. On January 17, the idol of Lord Rama made its way to the temple complex, marking a significant step in the consecration process.
Diverse Attendees and Religious Celebrations:
The worship ceremony in the under-construction Ram Temple’s ritual hall saw the participation of Temple trust member Anil Mishra and his family. Also present was Vishva Hindu Parishad national president Dr. Ram Narain Singh. The ceremony involved venerating the old idol of Lord Rama, adding to the spiritual significance of the event.
Upcoming Pran Pratishtha Ceremony:
The next major event in the consecration process is the Pran Pratishtha, scheduled for Monday afternoon. This ritual holds immense importance, representing the formal consecration of the idol.
As Ayodhya continues to be a focal point for spiritual and cultural activities, the unveiling of the gold-adorned Ram Lalla stands as a symbol of devotion and marks a significant milestone in the construction of the Shri Ram Temple. The ceremonies, rich in tradition and religious fervor, showcase the unity and faith of the people involved in bringing this sacred project to fruition.
