Ayodhya, India – In a momentous prelude to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony scheduled for January 22, the face of the revered Ram Lalla idol has been unveiled at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The ceremony, which will mark the consecration of the Ram Mandir, is set to be a historic event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the rituals.

The 51-inch idol, meticulously sculpted in black stone by artist Arun Yogiraj, now graces the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, adorned with symbols of religious significance including Om, Ganesh, Chakra, Sankh, Gada, Swastik, and Kamala Nayan. The first images of the idol reveal a standing Ram Lalla with eyes covered by a yellow cloth and draped in a garland of roses.

The Pran Pratishtha ceremony, scheduled to commence at 12:20 pm and conclude by 1 pm on January 22, is anticipated to draw over 7,500 eminent guests, including Prime Minister Modi and more than 4,000 saints. The consecration ritual holds immense religious and cultural importance, symbolizing the official inauguration of the Ram Mandir.

Preparations in Ayodhya are in full swing as the city readies itself to host this historic event. Ayodhya is currently undergoing developmental projects to accommodate the expected influx of tourists who will be arriving to witness and participate in the prayers at the Ram Temple.

In anticipation of the monumental gathering, the Health Department is collaborating with the Shri Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra trust to establish first aid units at 16 key locations within the event area. These units will be strategically positioned at crowded locations, equipped with medical professionals, medicines, nebulizers, and oxygen facilities.

Furthermore, two hospitals with capacities of 10 and 20 beds respectively are being set up, where doctors will be available to attend to patients. A fleet of 40 ambulances will be stationed at various important locations in Ayodhya to ensure swift medical assistance if needed.

The Health Department has reserved 190 beds for emergency situations in the district’s medical facilities. In case of medical emergencies during the consecration ceremony, individuals will initially be taken to the hospitals set up in the event area, and if necessary, referred to the Shri Ram Hospital.

As Ayodhya decks itself up for this historic occasion, the entire nation eagerly awaits the culmination of years of devotion and effort with the official consecration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.
