In an interview with the Financial Times, PM Modi highlighted India’s backing of humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza while maintaining a steadfast position in favor of a two-state solution. Before the BJP government assumed power in 2014, India traditionally supported Palestine. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the dynamics shifted, marking a notable alignment with Israel. Prime Minister Modi made history as the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Tel Aviv, showcasing the deepening ties between the two nations.

The Israel-Hamas conflict, which has been ongoing for two months, has seen Israel’s commitment to pressing ahead with its offensive in response to a cross-border attack by Hamas in October.
