Marshall Island, which is actually a sprawling chain (big and continuous chain spread over a wide area) of islands. This is situated between Hawaii and the Philippines. It is an island nation or country close to the equator in the Pacific Ocean. It is somewhat situated at the west of the International Date Line.

The Marshall Islands is a country comprising two group of islands

  1. Ratak Chain- In this the Ratak means sunrise also means the time in the morning when the sun appears.
  2. Ralik Chain- Here Ralik means sunset also means the time in the evening when the sun disappears.

The motto of the country is “jepilpilin ke ejukaan”(This is in Marshallese), which means “success through joint effort.”

The Marshall Islands is situated in Oceania Continent. The capital of the Marshall Islands is Majuro with almost half of the total population of Marshall Islands. The population of Majuro is 27,797 according to the surveys of 2011.

The president of Marshall Island is Hilda Heine. There the system of Government is unitary parliamentary republic. And the official languages of the Marshall Island is English, Marshallese.

The Commercial Crops in Marshall Islands are Coconuts, Tomatoes, Melons, and Breadfruit.

According to the surveys of 2016, the country’s population is 53,066. The Marshall Islands have total 29 atolls each made up of many islets(very small islands) and 5 islands. If we count total no of island and islets than it will come 1,156.
